ISEA testified at a the public hearing on EPA's proposed hearing protector labeling rule.

The proposal will establish test methods for determining the noise reduction rating (NRR) for various types of devices, and a new labeling system to inform users about performance. In testimony, ISEA president Dan Shipp expressed the association's general support for the effort to upgrade the standards, and offered recommendations to improve the testing and labeling requirements and the rule's implementation.
