ISEA Members Elected Officers and Board Members at the 2015 Executive Summit

Eric Beck, executive director of strategic marketing of MSA Safety was elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) at the association’s annual Executive Summit in San Antonio, Texas. Sheila Eads, president and chief executive officer of ERB Industries, was elected Vice Chairman.

In addition, the membership elected industry leaders Tom Votel and Nate Kogler, to seats on the Board of Trustees.

For more than 35 years, Eric Beck has performed various roles including human resources, sales and marketing for MSA Safety, based in Pittsburgh, Pa. In his current role, he is responsible for directing and developing MSA’s global product portfolio that serves the occupational, fire service and military markets.  Mr. Beck served as chairman of ISEA’s Standards Planning and Policy Committee and is secretary of the National Fire Protection Association’s project on protective clothing and equipment.  He earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pa.

MSA Safety is the global leader in the development, manufacture and supply of safety products that protect people and facility infrastructures. Ms. Eads joined ERB, based in Woodstock, Ga., in 1995 to oversee all financial aspects of the company and in 2002 was promoted to her current position.  She has led the company to year-over-year revenue growth and innovation, moving the company in new market and product directions notably in the company’s Aware Wear line of high visibility products and the Girl Power at Work line of safety products for women.  Prior to joining ERB, Ms. Eads was a senior manager at Deloitte, a global accounting and management-consulting firm. Ms. Eads graduated with honors from the University of Georgia in 1986 with a degree in Business Administration.

ERB Industries is a leader in the development, manufacture and supply of safety products and hospitality apparel. ERB Safety division protects the health and safety of workers in the construction, manufacturing and industrial sector. The Fame Fabrics division provides low cost, high quality apparel for the hospitality industry.

Tom Votel has been the chief executive officer and president of St. Paul, Minn.-based Ergodyne since 1985, just two years after becoming the company’s first full-time employee. Mr. Votel is responsible for plotting the vision and direction of Ergodyne Corporation. While focused intensely on Ergodyne’s quality, integrity, and spirit, Mr. Votel is deeply committed to developing its customer relationships and continues to actively participate in the selling and marketing of products.  Under his leadership, Ergodyne is a respected leading developer of specialized gear for worker safety and productivity, and the company has been listed twice on Inc. Magazine’s list of the 500 Fastest Growing Small Companies in the U.S. Mr. Votel earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and his Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn.

Nate has worked for Bradley since 2001 and has been in the safety industry for nine years. Nate earned a BBA in Marketing and Management from Wisconsin Lutheran College and a MBA from The Pennsylvania State University. Nate is the Treasurer and Board Member of St. Marcus Lutheran, a parental choice school serving 600 students in the intercity of Milwaukee.
