The International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) presented its Ryan-Willson Service Award of Excellence to Stacey Simmons on November 14, during its 2022 Annual Meeting in Arlington, Virginia. Simmons was recently promoted to national sales manager for the Americas in the industrial health and safety division at Kentucky-based Bullard.

The Ryan-Willson Service Award of Excellence is the highest award given by ISEA. Named for original leaders of the safety industry, right alongside Bullard, the award honors those who have had distinguished careers at an ISEA-member company, who have used their talents and expertise to improve the broader industry, and who have served on ISEA committees, product groups, working groups and more.

“Stacey has long been a valuable and versatile leader and spokesperson for key ISEA initiatives,” said Cam Mackey, ISEA president and CEO. “ISEA staff and members rely on Stacey’s expertise, familiarity with end-user needs, and product engineering knowledge.”

As chair of ISEA’s Head Protection Committee, Simmons has served as the public face of the Association’s head protection program at a time when these products are undergoing their biggest revolution in nearly 100 years: a shift to helmet-style head protection. As ISEA works to revise the Z89.1 Industrial Head Protection standard, Simmons has been speaking about it to key industry audiences. She is also helping to lead efforts for a new product standard for bump caps.

Simmons has been an enthusiastic advocate for ISEA’s Qualified Safety Sales Professional (QSSP) program, which is the leading training program for safety sales professionals. She earned her QSSP designation in 2018.

At Bullard, Simmons is responsible for sales of all industrial health and safety product lines the company manufactures, including head protection, face protection, industrial respiratory protection, and powered air-purifying respiratory protection. She joined Bullard eight years ago as Global Product Manager for Head and Face Protection, engaging with ISEA to advance worker safety from the start.

“We are so very proud of Stacey for all that she does for Bullard, ISEA and workers around the world,” said Bullard President & CEO Wells Bullard. “We agree she is a leader in her field, with a passion for safety and community, and we’re thrilled she was chosen to receive this prestigious industry award.”
