Benjamin Carlson is an International Trade Specialist in the U.S. Department of Commerce’s (DOC) International Trade Administration (ITA). Mr. Carlson’s ITA portfolio includes advocating for the U.S. fire safety, homeland security, and personal protective equipment industries in trade policy and market access cases. Mr. Carlson has represented DOC as a government expert in China Section 301 Hearings, authored market intelligence products, supports the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service promote U.S. exports from the safety and security sector.

Prior to joining ITA in 2017, Mr. Carlson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, International Studies, and Mandarin Chinese from the University of Oklahoma.
