Qualified Safety Sales Training Now Available Online

PPE Marketing & Sales Professionals Can Earn Dual Certification in One Week

Safety equipment sales and marketing professionals are now able to complete vital industry training, earn an official professional designation and an OSHA 30 certification after one week of online education. The Qualified Safety Sales Professional (QSSP) Program, the industry’s premier training program for safety sales professionals, has launched a 100%-remote virtual training program.

“To ensure safety professionals have access to necessary training during this pandemic, ISEA has taken action to transition the QSSP program from in-person to completely online,” said Charles D. Johnson, president of the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA), which certifies the QSSP training.

With top-rated virtual classroom technology and courses taught by an experienced faculty of safety professionals, attendees will broaden their technical expertise in health and safety, understand the complex regulations imposed by OSHA, EPA and other agencies, complete the OSHA 30 certification process, and earn the right to use the QSSP designation.

“PPE buyers look for the QSSP designation and OSHA 30 certification to ensure they are working with qualified, knowledgeable safety partners,” said Johnson. “That level of assurance has never been more necessary than today, when worker safety and appropriate PPE is a top priority across more industries than ever.”

The QSSP program covers the principles and practices of occupational health and safety; fundamentals of industrial hygiene, risk management, safety engineering, health and safety regulations, and workers comp. Attendees are exposed to the full range of safety equipment and safety practices for the workplace, including updated practices as it relates to COVID-19 and other health emergencies.

QSSP is for anyone involved in sales, marketing, or support services related to occupational health and safety whose effectiveness could be enhanced by increased technical and regulatory expertise and competence. This includes, but is not limited to, sales representatives, customer service personnel, sales and marketing managers, product development personnel and marketing personnel.

The first online QSSP course will take place August 24-28. The final course of 2020 will take place October 19-23. Registration for 2021 online courses begin in February. 2021 courses are scheduled to begin March/April 2021.

Tuition is $1,625 for employees of ISEA member companies and $2,425 for non-members.  There is a $100 per student discount for companies that register five or more employees during one calendar year. The course registration fee includes five days of instruction, pre-work exercises, course manual, and OSHA regulations & handouts.
