Facility Safety Summit Session 2: Top 10 Facility Safety Fundamentals

Facility Safety Summit Session 2: Top 10 Facility Safety Fundamentals

Facility safety is built on strong fundamentals—and ensuring those basics are in place can prevent many of the most common workplace hazards. In this live webinar, Occupational Health & Safety Executive Editor David Kopf will interview two highly experienced QSSP and OSHA-certified instructors, Bobbi Samples, CSP, of The Safety Firm, and Bill Simkins, CSP, of Simkins Safety. Together, they’ll share practical insights from decades of teaching and consulting on the essentials every facility needs to protect its workers.

Through an engaging interview format, the discussion will cover key areas such as PPE selection and fit, respiratory and hearing protection, fall prevention, machine guarding and lockout/tagout, first aid and emergency response, heat stress, and hazard communication. Attendees will learn how to identify gaps in their current programs, strengthen compliance, and reinforce a strong culture of safety across their facilities.

As mentioned, this is an interview-based webinar, but there will be opportunities for the audience to ask Bobbie and Bill anything related to Facilities Safety, and they will share their extensive knowledge and expertise with the audience. Think of this as an open office hour with a pair of knowledgeable safety experts.
