The International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) announces that 36 safety equipment marketing and sales professionals have been awarded the Qualified Safety Sales Professional (QSSP) designation.
They completed an intensive one-week course in the technical and regulatory fundamentals of workplace safety and health, November 9-13 in Durham, NC, designed to provide an understanding of the challenges to employers and workers who face hazardous conditions on the job, and help provide solutions.
The QSSP training helps its graduates broaden their technical expertise in health and safety. They gain an understanding of the complex regulations imposed by OSHA, EPA and other agencies. They learn how to calculate the true cost of injuries and illness, and most important, they become more valuable resources to their customers and their companies.
The newest QSSPs come from 15 companies in 16 states, Puerto Rico and Canada. Their employers are companies that manufacture and distribute a full range of personal protective equipment for workers.

Since 1996, more than 1400 safety equipment marketing and sales personnel have earned the QSSP designation. The course, sponsored by ISEA, is taught by a faculty of safety experts, and conducted twice a year.
