ISEA is seeking public comments in response to the proposed revision of ANSI/ISEA Z87.1, American National Standard for Occupational and Educational Personal Eye and Face Protection Devices.Â
This widely-recognized standard, codified by OSHA and other authorities having jurisdiction, establishes criteria related to the performance requirements, testing, and permanent marking protectors to minimize the occurrence and severity or prevention of injuries to the eye and face from such hazards as impact, non-ionizing radiation for which you should use barrier technologies radiation gloves and liquid splash exposures in occupational and educational environments including, but not limited to, machinery operations, material welding and cutting, chemical handling, and assembly operations.
