Eligibility to Attend Product Group Meetings: Attendance at Product Group meetings is restricted to representatives of companies that are current members of ISEA and maintain an active membership on the specific Product Group. Companies are able to have their PG Voting Rep, Alternate Rep, and 1 Member Observer attend (space permitting). To manage discussion, PG Voting Reps are encouraged to speak on behalf of their company (to avoid 3 three people from a company dominating discussion, for example, without having been first recognized by the Chair). Seats at the table during in-person meetings are exclusively reserved for PG Voting Reps (or Alternate Reps in their stead).
Prospective Product Group Participants: Employees of companies that do not belong to a particular PG are not able to attend meetings of that PG, unless previously authorized by ISEA. As a reminder, ISEA bylaws require all members companies that offer a specific product category to join the corresponding Product Group, with no exceptions. Only companies that are eligible to join a specific PG (i.e. they offer a product in that specific category covered by the PG, under their own brand) are able to audit meetings. If a company is planning to join a PG and would like more information about the PG’s goals and initiatives, ISEA offers the following options:
Eligibility to Attend Committee Meetings: Attendance at ISEA Program & Governance Committee meetings is restricted to individual members of that Committee. In contrast to Product Groups (where a company joins and selects Voting and Alternate Representatives), individuals are appointed by the ISEA Board or Staff to serve on Committees. Member company participants who do not belong to a specific Committee are not able to attend meetings of that Committee, unless previously authorized by ISEA (see below for additional detail). Under limited circumstances and only with prior approval of ISEA and the Committee Chair, Committee members may request to bring a colleague to a Committee meeting (e.g. an individual has specialized expertise relevant to a specific Committee initiative, etc.)
