As an ANSI-accredited standards developer, ISEA is seeking qualified professionals to serve on Consensus Bodies that review, comment on, and vote to approve draft American National Standards.

Most participation consists of reviewing electronic ballots over approximately 30 days. While standard length and complexity differ, reviewing a draft standard and making comments typically takes 1–3 hours. The number of ballots varies depending on the standard’s development schedule.
Generally, no. Consensus Body participation is conducted electronically, and no travel is required.
No. Most potential Consensus Body participants are not ISEA members.
ISEA values your professional expertise, but members are expected to consider the interests of all affected stakeholders—not solely those of one employer or organization.
Yes. ANSI’s consensus process requires comments and objections to be reviewed and considered before a standard advances.
